Jan Fitzpatrick creates communications strategies that help companies and nonprofits connect with the audiences they wish to reach. She has worked successfully with companies whose annual revenues exceed $1 billion, as well as with small, growing companies and nonprofits. Clients have included food and wine companies, educational organizations, hospitals, public gardens, museums.

Her consulting services include publicity and media relations programs, special events, and fundraising communications.

As part of her commitment to serving the community, she has edited and produced newsletters for such organizations as the International Association of Culinary Professionals and The New York Women’s Agenda.

Before the agency of Jan Fitzpatrick & Associates was launched in 1996, Ms. Fitzpatrick was an award-winning journalist at two daily newspapers owned by the Gannett News Corporation, and a public information officer at the University of Rochester. Ms. Fitzpatrick holds a master’s degree from Claremont Graduate School, Claremont, California (1971) and a bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University (1969).
